The job

The Quality Systems Technologist work will closely with the Quality Systems Manager and new product development team and will have accountability for the quality & allergen management systems, assisting in the review of customer and legislation requirements, preparing for second party and third-party audits, managing customer traceability plus supporting and closing out of non-conformances.

A key part of the role is to carry out routine swabbing and the management of samples for microbiological and chemistry testing including the logging and trending of results, requesting investigation reports and logging corrective actions.

Your experience

We are looking for a confident and dedicated individual, preferably with some previous food laboratory or similar experience. You may also be a holder of a food related degree / HND who has completed a food industry placement. You will have the ability to understand how samples are processed, be confident in reporting findings plus be able to understand and report on ‘out of spec’ results. To succeed, you will be highly organised, have strong attention to detail and have a methodical work approach.
