Food Law Information Technologist

We are seeking a talented individual to work for an international, blue-chip company who manufacture and supply their own internationally recognised branded products into major UK retailers. Throughout the years their products have shaped fascinating markets and continually delighted consumers through quality and innovation.
As Food Law Information Technologist, you will be responsible for working together with internal and external contacts to collect, update, input, challenge and maintain the technical information for specifications and artwork. You will ensure each product has an approved and finalised company format product specification.
You will advise on legal, nutrition and labelling matters, generate pack copy information, approve artwork, maintain data in the product information management system, ensure that your knowledge of legislation and legal requirements is kept up to date, create legally compliant ingredient declarations, identify and advise on any labelling non-conformances plus liaise with internal and external laboratories.
To be considered for the Food Law Information Technologist job, you will ideally be educated to a degree / HND level in a food technology discipline and possess solid experience in a food manufacturing technical role. You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of food law & legislation and emerging food related issues which you can communicate to the wider team, plus ideally have experience using specifications software. A background of working in frozen food, dairy, bakery or meat product sectors is desirable.
The Food Law Information Technologist job is based in the North West region and is paying a highly competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
