The Organisation

A leading Food manufacturer seeking to recruit an ambitious Night Shift Manufacturing Manager to join their team.

 

The Role 

You will report to the General Manager, directly managing indirect reports in this fast paced production facility.

As part of your role as Manufacturing Manager you will manage motivate and lead the Production team, ensuring a safe environment. Guaranteeing product quality and delivering customer service whilst achieving departmental KPI's.

You will continually be reviewing all aspects of the Production operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency on a day to day basis. Using your KPI results to drive Lean and CI Projects to deliver business objectives.

You will work to develop employees through PDR's which are followed up with the appropriate training and development plans. Ensuring employees are involved in the success of the production operation through continual feedback and positive communication

As Production Operations Manager you will promote high standards of hygiene and housekeeping and ensuring compliance to all legislative Health & Safety requirements. Also ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirement.

Working hours are from 10pm until 6am (flexibility required due to change over) and the shift pattern is 5 out of 7.

 

The Candidate 

You will have a proven track record working in a Production / Manufacturing Managers role within a FMCG Process / food manufacturing company at a management level. You will have driven and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

As a consummate professional with a passion for world-class/ Lean manufacturing, you will be able to demonstrate significant success in improving business performance through integrating and introducing a structured and systematic approach to manufacturing management

Commercially astute with good budgetary control skills and systems literacy, you must have a strong and broad-based manufacturing background.

A real team player with experience at management level you will display the competencies required to be an effective member of the senior management team and have the confidence to take a significant lead in the site culture change program.

Your communication skills must be well developed as you will have to demonstrate your experience of strong working relationships, at all levels.
