Packaging Manager | Fresh Produce | Team Management

We are working with a company who are a leader in their sector and are looking for a new Packaging Manager. This is a key role for the business as you will be managing all of their packaging procurement as well as managing the Stock Control and Stores team. A lot of the product will be sourced from the UK, but there will be some requirement for managing some European supply as well.

The Job:
You will be working closely with all of the other functions within the business as you ensure the products you buy are to spec and fit for purpose.
You will be managing the Packaging Stores team to allow them to manage the stock appropriately and keep volumes and orders under control.
Communication is critical. You will be responsible for a large number of lines and it is vital that the Commercial and Operations team are in the loop to ensure as much of the available stock is used up.

The Candidate:
You will have a few years of procurement experience having worked with a range of packaging and consumables.
Ideally you will have had some man management experience as this is an important part of the role.
As above, communication skills are really important so you will need to demonstrate that this is something you are good at.
