Priding themselves on quality and service, this privately owned business supplies a range of chilled products to major foodservice customers with innovation at the forefront of all they do. They are now seeking a confident Production Manager who can push the boundaries to help achieve further market success in line with their high quality standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Factory Manager you’ll be responsible for growing this forward-thinking business to new levels of success. With a hands on approach you’ll be involved with the development and delivery of compelling strategies to improve production capacity, efficiency and profitability throughout the site. You’ll also oversee internal systems to ensure that the company’s high standards are maintained and exceeded in line with business strategy as well as customer expectations and government food safety legislations.

Driven by high standards you’ll maximise team potential and performance through the implementation of KPI’s, inspiring them to achieve amazing results whilst championing high product quality, process innovation and excellent customer service. You’ll be instrumental in continuous improvement initiatives and instigating the changes necessary to achieve world class products and practices. As a natural leader you’ll have a strong presence amongst your team, engaging, developing and empowering them to deliver outstanding performance. You’ll take pride in your effective management of a dedicated team as well as production processes to guarantee smooth launches for fantastic new products.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an inspirational and decisive leader with proven success in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.  A good understanding of the technical and quality aspects of food production is essential along with a solutions-led approach to ensuring the continual smooth running of the production function. Excellent communication and organisation skills coupled with the ability to recognise training needs are also vital so that you can lead a team to achieve set KPIs and individual development targets. You must also have outstanding people management and leadership skills with a natural flair for engaging, supporting and motivating your team to excel.
