Packaging Technologist (6 Months FTC)

The Company

A premium food and drink brand are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Packaging Technologist to join their Head Office team to help support some key projects.

The Role

Working as part of a small Packaging Team you will use your skills to provide technical expertise in the development of new packaging for a large range of products across multiple categories.  This will include co-ordinating packaging trials, managing artwork, proofing and print deadlines; working very closely with technical teams, buyers and suppliers.

You will also undertake a sustainability project ensuring every packaging element is truly sustainable and innovative. Ideally, you will deliver first to market packaging from UK sourced products that are carbon neutral where possible. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation to new and existing products.

The Person

Suit a creative and innovative Packaging Technologist with an ambition to build on their expertise of packaging and design for a sustainable brand.

A sound understanding of packaging and print, materials, formats and processes within the food & drink sector is essential.  As well as passion for sustainability you need to love food and have a meticulous eye for detail as well as design to ensure every packaging is sustainable and innovative, plastic-free, reusable, recyclable and compostable.

The ability to build strong collaborative relationships is key as you will need to influence key stakeholders whilst advocating company values and a positive working ethos.

You will have exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills in order to successfully deliver these high profile projects.
