Food Quality & Compliance Manager
This established food and drink brand lead the market with the quality of their products and inspiring innovation. They are looking for a quality and food safety expert who can support the development and delivery of first to market product ranges.
As a pivotal member of the NPD team you will be accountable for helping deliver breakthrough innovation and support the launch process in an increasingly complex product development environment.
Working on new product and technology innovations, you will ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance and food safety systems as well as utilising your nutrition & fortification knowledge to bring new products to market. There will also be a focus on new ingredients and packaging to ensure that product technical standards are achieved through robust product analysis.
As well as developing and implementing new quality and safety testing, you will be the go-to person for advice on chemical hazards, toxicology risk and regulatory standards. The role will include responsibility for auditing new suppliers, interpretation of key technical data and working collaboratively with the International Regulatory team.
The ideal candidate would be a science graduate with food and / or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience who has worked in a Quality & ingredients focussed role alongside an NPD / R&D team. This will give you a sound understanding of the quality, regulatory and food safety requirements needed to support the development of new products. An understanding of health, nutrition and toxicology would be highly beneficial.
As well as being analytical and logical in your approach you will be able to bring new ideas to the table and help drive the innovation strategy from a quality perspective. You also need to have a collaborative approach and be able to build influential relationships with the team and the wider business.
