Unique opportunity to work as a Project Manager, reducing costs for a leading UK retailer.

This is an exciting time to join one of the leading retailers as a Project Manager on their Lowering Costs Programme, which has been set up to reduce the cost base of the business allowing strategic investment for the future.

This is a 12-month maternity cover role, you must be available to start in September.

Reporting into the Head of Lowering Costs, you will work hand in hand with a value optimisation manager to deliver cost out from a particular cluster. The value optimisation manager is responsible for identifying initiatives to take cost out of the business and get them agreed, your role will be to execute these initiatives and provide rigour around the numbers. A tenacious and resilient self-starter you will have proven experience of working as a Project Manager in an FMCG, Retail, or Food Manufacturing environment.

You will work on lots of small projects with short lead times as opposed to one big project, therefore a proven track record of multi-tasking is essential.

  • Extensive project management experience
  • Project Management qualification - Prince 2 or equivalent
