Development & Process Manager

Responsible for managing relationships and embedding the culture within the sourcing teams.
Support the new restaurant opening team by leading the development agenda with new franchise partners. Responsible for delivering the international menu by guiding international sourcing teams to match products to approval stage according to the critical path.
Manage the international menus and the menu development process & critical path with existing franchisees, approving ingredients to match the UK specifications
Responsible for signing off all international specifications and managing the online portal
Highlight areas for existing product improvement with franchise partners through quality checks
Responsible for organising analytical product testing
Responsible for checking international restaurant menus for allergen control vs. specifications
Responsible for auditing international restaurants from an allergen management and safety practice perspective
Key Skills Required:
Degree preferably in a food related subject
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the food industry – preferably manufacturing including technical and development experience
Good palette and ability to advise on product improvement - sensory trained
Experience with specifications and food safety
Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification and Intermediate level HACCP
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP and QMS systems
Excellent communication and administration skills
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
Must be willing to travel visiting overseas locations regularly – this role will largely be out of office.
