The job

As Technical Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the technical quality function of a highly automated 24/7 production and packing facility.

You will drive and support an effective quality / food safety culture within all areas, ensure an effective HACCP plan is maintained for all site operations, maintain an effective Quality Management System, develop and maintain the internal quality auditing programme, drive continuous improvement in the standards of hygiene and housekeeping, ensure compliance with any required customer codes of practice and certification standards (e.g. BRC) plus lead customer and regulatory audits ensuring the site, processes and systems are at the standard required for unannounced audits.

Your experience

You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in a food science, food technology or related discipline and possess a strong QA/QA or technical management track record within food manufacturing. A background of working with dairy based products is also essential. You will be HACCP qualified plus possess excellent working knowledge of BRC requirements, food safety standards, food legislation and auditing.

The Technical Manager job is based in North Wales and is paying c. £45,000 according to individual needs and previous experience plus pension, life assurance, sick pay and up to 15% bonus.
