This exciting new role, part of the R&D leadership team has been created to drive the long-term strategic growth platforms for our business and create the ‘Futures’ programme.   You will be responsible for establishing and leading the R&D Futures team and creating and unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit to drive change and new thinking, creating opportunities which are adjacent to our current company plans.   Areas of interest include alternative proteins, sustainable packaging and freezing technologies, just to name a few.

Applicants will need to demonstrate significant experience within the Food and Drink industry in technical/product development Leadership role and have a successful track record of driving open innovation and delivering projects requiring input from both internal/external resources.   Previous people management and direct experience of contracts and generation of competitive advantage through IP; e.g. patents, exclusivity and know-how are also essential.
