As Assistant Production Manager, you will deputise for the Manufacturing Manager and take full responsibility for the development of direct reports and to be accountable for all activities throughout production, goods in, goods out, preparation & hygiene areas.
You will ensure full legal and company compliance of quality and food safety throughout the team, drive KPI’s ensuring they are always maintained, seek continuous improvement opportunities and provide strong leadership, engaging effectively with your team in order to allow best staff performance.
To be considered for the Assistant Production Manager role, you will have a solid production management, supervisory or team leading background within a food production environment, most preferably chilled, prepared foods. Level 5 Leadership & Management, Level 4 Food Hygiene and Level 4 HACCP qualifications are all highly desirable. You will be a natural team leader, be highly organised and work well in a fast-paced environment.
The Assistant Production Manager job is based in the Home Counties / East Anglia region and is paying £35,000 - £38,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours will be a rotating shift pattern of 6am – 3pm and 3pm – 12am, including every other Sunday.
