Buyer (8 Month FTC)

The Company

This is a great opportunity to join an established food company who pride themselves on bestowing hearty and healthy food to the British public. They are seeking an experienced, confident and accomplished Buyer that will work on a fixed term contract to continue accomplishing and striving for success.

The Role

This is a high profile role where you will take responsibility for the procurement of finished products & ingredients across a number of categories. You will work in partnership with your key suppliers to source products that enhance and complement the existing food & drink ranges whist ensuring quality, value and innovation match with brand values. Through this you will liaise and continue to build rapport with the existing supplier base and thus allow the business to keep its established reputation within the food industry.

The Person

This role would suit a self-reliant Buyer who will be confident making an impact while on this interim contract. You will have a keen eye for sourcing quality products that meet company expenditure without sacrificing nutritional excellence and product innovation. You will be well versed in the arts of influence and persuasion. As a master of negotiation you will always reach the best terms for both the company and supplier. You will take pride in being a team player and leading by example. Finally, you will understand the integral role that ingredients and procurement play within the food retail and restaurants sectors. Moreover, you will see how they benefit the brand in its perpetual development.
