You have the opportunity to join a market leading food manufacturing business that have gone through a period of significant organic growth. As a result of this growth, they are in need of a Quality Manager to join the Technical team based out of their Northamptonshire site.

Description

As the Quality Manager you will be managing, leading & motivating direct & indirect reports within the technical team, as well as being instrumental in maintaining and advancing the company's quality improvement strategy. You will be working closely with the senior management contingent to form a best practice working culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

Identify Quality system weaknesses & change as necessary

Maintain & improve site work instructions & procedures ensuring BRC & customer compliance

Co-ordinate the internal audit programs & use results to improve systems & compliance

Manage the non-conformance database

Maintain & improve site HACCP system, ensuring food safety is not compromised

Prepare & report quality KPIs to upper management

Ensure site quality system, records & factory compliance is audit ready

Co-ordinate various technical improvement projects

Ensure inspection & test equipment is accurate & maintained

Ensure root cause analysis & preventative measures are put in place for investigated complaints

Order & maintain supply of quality consumables

Manage a small team of QA's

Work with NPD to ensure new product launch is a seamless process

Deputise for Site Technical Manager when external bodies are auditing the site

Profile

A Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor looking for their next step up. The successful applicant will have food experience and the following;

• Degree Qualification in a related discipline e.g. Food Science, Quality Systems
• Experience in Quality System Auditing
• Ideally, third party & internal Lead Auditor
• HACCP Intermediate/Advanced
• Advanced Food Hygiene
• Ideally, BRC & Retailer experience
• Previous Leadership experience within an FMCG environment
