Operations Manager (Interim opportunity to go Permanent)

We are currently recruiting an interim Operations Manager for a leading food manufacturer.  They are seeking to recruit a high-potential leader who can make a real difference to their manufacturing site.  Depending on the situation of the candidate there would be an opportunity for this to become a permanent role but that won't exclude candidates who are only interested in an interim appointment.

The Role 

As the interim Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing including safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost control.  But this isn’t just a “day-to-day” role as the plant has significant technical complexity and there's a need for the Operations Manager to identify the opportunities to improve this and deliver change.  Working as part of a highly capable team to deliver a step-change in manufacturing performance with the support of a committed and willing workforce.

Person Profile

The person that is successful in this role will have a strong FMCG/Food manufacturing background with a continuous improvement mind-set and be able to operate in an autonomous environment.  They will be intellectually sharp, open in their style and willing to communicate to all levels of the business.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in experiencing an interim role, someone who is looking for a permanent role and keen to take on a challenge or someone who is willing to demonstrate their capability to a future employer.
