Quality Technician (Rotating Shifts)

This role is working for a leading UK private label manufacturer and supplier. With a long product tradition, the business produces one of the highest quality ranges in the market supplied almost exclusively to the leading grocery retailers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a food graduate or junior QA/QC to gain wide and varied experience in a manufacturing environment.
As Quality Technician you will compile and issue process control records and quality standards, attend trials and product launches, audit and monitor food safety, quality and legality within the factory, carry out internal auditing, investigate customer complaints, ensure technical systems are in place, carry out swabbing including micro and allergen plus ensure the factory is to the best GMP standards ready for unannounced audits / customer visits.
You will be ideally educated to a degree standard in a food science/technology discipline and/or possess some food manufacturing QA or technical related experience gained within either a university placement or full-time role. Previous experience and/or knowledge of food safety standards (e.g. BRC), auditing and HACCP would also be an advantage. To succeed in this role, you will essentially have an undeniable passion for food and have the eagerness to learn and grow within your role.
The Quality Technician job is based in the North West region and is paying £18,000 - £21,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours will be a rotating pattern of early, late and night shifts (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm – 6am), Monday to Friday.
