Technical Assistant

The purpose of the role is to provide technical assistance to the Site Technical Manager through day to day Technical activities. Assisting with the management of the food safety systems and activities associated.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with GMP/GHP audits ensuring that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
2. Assist with the up keep of the Sites QMS systems.
3. Assist with the development and maintenance of BRC standards.
4. Support with 3rd party audits.
5. Assist with the development and up keep of the sites HACCP processes, site standards, monitoring, reviewing and validating implementation.
6. Assist with food safety, HACCP and allergen training.
7. Promote positive food safety culture.
8. Manage raw material and finished product specifications ensuring they are kept up to date.
9. Create QAS for finished products.
10. Support with Booths brand first production launches.
11. Maintain Non Conformance data systems.
12. Assisting and maintaining internal traceability systems (using electronic document software).
13. Assist in managing crisis situations with regards to food safety.
14. Instrumental in actively promoting a safety culture &, ensuring quality & safety standards are met, and products are manufactured to correct specification.

Qualification:
Internal / External Auditing - D
HACCP Trained - D

Knowledge: 
High & Low care food manufacturing - D
HACCP - D
Food Safety - E

Skills: 
Working with various food types both chilled and ambient - E
Good computer, written and verbal skills - E
Experience in working with BRC standards - D
Auditing experience - D

Behaviours:
Excellent attention to detail - E
Comfortable with working both individually and part of a team - E
To demonstrate and role model the Booths Purpose - E

Experience:
Have previous experience of working in food manufacturing - E
Experience in working with BRC standards - D
