Import Operations Coordinator
A great opportunity in a growing, medium sized importing business based in Berkshire, supplying own label, ambient, shelf stable products to the major retailers. They are currently looking for an experienced Import Operations Coordinator.
The role is to ensure importation of products from suppliers, directly to customers and warehouse ensuring that they are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity, whilst acting as first point of contact for all escalations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage suppliers to ensure timely and accurate production of products
- Manage the direct import supply of products to customers and nominated warehouses against company requirements.
- Management of complex customers: raise purchase orders, provide supplier shipping instructions and plan the phasing of delivery requirements.
- Manage and update Navision, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date to allow monitoring of shipments and product information
The successful applicant will have 3+ years supply chain experience, specifically within Import logistics and ideally within Food and Drink. They should also have Goods Inwards and Warehouse functions experience and ideally previous Navision experience.
