Process Technologist | Food Manufacturing

My client is a leading food manufacturer providing a range of own label and branded products to retailers. Based in the North West, they are now looking for a Process Technologist to join their NPD team.

The Job:
To ensure seamless transition from concept development to launch.
Manage the launch process, working in collaboration with multiple functions.
Manage the critical path for all products in development, to deliver successful, and on-time product launches.
Coordinate and attend all factory trials.
Full liaison with all business teams to ensure factory processes are technically sound, operationally efficient, consistently replicable and cost efficient.
Full involvement in developing new and innovative processes to deliver product innovation to consumers.
Managing a Constant Improvement agenda.
Involvement in process development.
Involvement with key suppliers.
Aware and involved of key developments in process technology - attend relevant industry exhibitions and stay close to industry publications to understand 'the next technologies'.
Customer-facing during launch process especially during customer site visits.
Involvement in the sourcing and trialing of new process equipment.
Involvement in the development and factory integration of new packaging formats.
To provide relevant departments the process data for inclusion into product costings to ensure maximum profitability in the business.
Maintain awareness of customer specific policies, legal requirements and any associated regulations.

Experience of taking a product through concept to launch.
Organised and effective communicator
Innovative, creative and effective problem solver
Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
