Food Technologist

Our client is a privately-owned food and beverage company an opportunity to join them has become vacant for a Food Technologist.

The role supports technical activities multiple group locations and operations.  The incumbent will be responsible with meeting company, customer and legislative requirements and maintaining technical standards in line with business standards.

The candidate

• Experience of working in a technical role within the FMCG industry and ideally technical experience in a catering/ hospitality environment (desirable)
• A Food Science/Technology or relevant qualification in similar related discipline (essential)
• Level 3 Food Safety & Level 3 HACCP (essential, however desirable to have level 4 in both)
• Meticulous attention to detail, promoting high quality standards (essential)
• Experience of auditing and root cause analysis (desirable)
• Experience in delivering Level 2 Food Safety training (ideally to RSPH requirements) (desirable)
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain difficult concepts, as well as listening and questioning skills (essential)
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and report writing (essential)
