Quality Assurance Manager
We’re currently working with a specialist Ingredients Company based in Essex who are currently searching for their next Head of Quality Assurance and Technology.
The main aim of the role will be to manage the quality and technical procedures and processes for both internal departments and external clients and to meet all their requirements and deadlines.
Managing a small team that you’ll be responsible for coaching and training to Team Leader level, you’ll be resolving technical inquiries on existing products, issuing specs for raw materials, packaging and the finished product as well as investigating any complaints and hosting client audits.
In addition, you’ll be monitoring and improving QMS (including the food safety and quality and HACCP manuals), authoring the QMS, chairing the monthly review meetings and organising the associated accreditation audits (BRC, ISO:9001, Soil Association and Kosher).
With QMS in place, you’ll be at the forefront of procedures including:
- Supplier assessment and review with purchasing
- Co-ordinating development of formulation software to provide instant access to accurate data
- Arrange and conduct reviews of accuracy and effectiveness (cleaning schedules, glass audits, check weight records, metal detector records, training needs etc.)
- Internal audits
- Concession control
