HSE Coordinator - 12 month FTC - W. Yorkshire - FMCG

You will be part of a focus driven team that meets all legal & ISO requirements with a shared desire to make the Wakefield site a world leader in terms of Quality, Environment, Safety & Health standards. Key responsibilities:

  • Where needed, provide health, safety & environment support during implementation of new products and processes by ensuring coordination and execution of QESH checks during the realisation of onsite projects.
  • Co-ordinate internal audits to verify that safe working practices & risk assessments are being applied as specified in the Health, Safety & Environment Policy.
  • Support external auditors with their audit process, providing access to Policy, risk assessment methods and procedures plus sampling of activities as required to meet the external audit protocol.
  • Support complex and specialised health, safety & environment risk assessments as defined in the HS&E monitoring plan for the site.
  • Support Health, Safety & Environment related incidents and accidents as directed by the HSE Manager to ensure thorough investigations take place and findings are incorporated into the preventative HSE Plan for the site.
  • Use HS&E risk assessment findings to proactively amend the preventative HS&E plan for the site.
  • Provide advice and support to the site teams in order to achieve HS&E objectives.
  • Follow site safety policies and best practices to ensure a safe-working environment for all site employees.
  • Ensure compliance to the Safety Monitoring Plan (SMP).
  • Ensure compliance to the various site environment permits.
  • Follow site policies and best practices to promote energy efficiency across the site.
  • Ensure compliance to the Environment Monitoring Plan (EMP).
  • Perform tasks as required by theHSE Manager to ensure the team objectives are achieved.
  • Share best practices with other team members and colleagues to improve performance of the site.
  • Take pride in upholding the site standards to ensure the site is a great place to work.
  • Embrace team-working & flexibility in tasks allocated to support the achievement of team/department/site objectives & personal career development.


Profile

  • HSE Coordinator - 12 month FTC - W. Yorkshire - FMCG
  • Maths and English passed at School leaving Certificate level (GCSE in UK).
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel & Word).
  • Health & Safety qualification (desirable) or proven experience.
  • Environment qualification (desirable) or proven experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a Health, Safety & Environment role.
  • Application of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Flexibility in hours.
