Group Head Of HR

First Achieve are once again partnering with one of our most trusted clients, they have an exciting new role they have needed to create due to an exciting expansion period our client is going through.

We are currently looking to speak with experienced senior HR professionals, CIPD Level 7 with experience in FMCG/Food Manufacturing in regard to a Group Head of HR role we are recruiting.

This role will be based in one of our clients keys sites in the West Midlands, this role will be sit in with the Senior Group Leadership team and will report directly to the Group Managing Director.

Mt client require a Group Head of HR to be accountable for the strategic direction of the people functions across all of their UK companies, working alongside site leaders. This role is fundamental in developing their culture, organisation, and recruitment. It will also lead the development, implementation, and management of policies and procedures, which, in turn, will be created by the wider HR team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and working within our people management strategies
• Developing key business drivers in support of our strategies
• Developing and implementing HR initiatives, alongside site leaders, in line with our business objectives
• Leading the HR Focus Group which ensures we are working together as a group, with local Directors and Managers to drive improvements & presenting plans to the Operational Board
• Taking overall accountability for the recruitment processes, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management, HR information systems and financial aspects of the department
• Liaising directly with the Operational Board and being accountable for the performance of the HR function, as well as providing strategic counsel on all people matters
• Contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and recruitment
• Developing, managing & auditing effective company procedures and policies to reflect business aims and focus
• Leading the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture
• Managing, developing and supporting the local site HR Seniors, to enable a high level of service, through monthly KPI Cockpit meetings at which you will need to ensure Site Ops Directors attend
• Overseeing, and, where necessary, enforcing best practice
• Taking accountability for the measurement of the group's culture and actions to align it to strategic objectives
• Developing and managing an Apprentice/Graduate scheme

My client is looking for someone with at least 5 years HR management experience and ideally level 7 CIPD qualified.

In retrurn you will be offered a competitive salary of up to £80k plus a car, pension and private healthcare.
