Technical Manager – Juice

AMC Fresh and Natural is a leading supplier of allergen free soups and yogurts and AMC Freshly squeezed is a dedicated freshly squeezed fruit juice facility.
 The most recent additions to the AMC family, Fresh and Natural and Freshly Squeezed are indicative of AMCs appetite for growth and we are looking for a Technical Manager to instigate and drive a long-term Technical strategy across our freshly squeezed juice products.
 Job Description

The Technical Manager will be a responsible for Technical & Quality related activity in a high performing branded FMCG business. You will be a strong leader and manage a small team of quality and technical staff on the site, ensuring the team have the skills and are motivated to perform to the best of their ability. You will lead internal auditing and retailer performance ensuring the best systems are in place for BRC and other audits high performance. The Technical Manager will be the owner of HACCP and Quality management systems for AMC Freshly Squeezed and to ensure they are up to date and fit for purpose at all times.  Working in a dynamic innovative company, you will be responsible for technical involvement in NPD activities for the site and that new products meet the correct specifications and quality required. Finally, the Technical Manager will provide an active input to manufacturing and the vision of the site being the Technical expert for this operation.


The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading Technical activity for a site. You will ideally be degree qualified or equivalent in food technology/science/microbiology. The Technical Manager will be an excellent leader of people. You will have worked in a commercially led business and have excellent relationships with major retailers and distributors, being the point of contact for site quality. Ideally you will have implemented and improved quality systems to fit with the company vision and in line with food legislation, GFSI accreditation, HACCP and customer requirements.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum experience of 2 years working within a similar role/ Juice background
  • Minimum experience of 5 years working within Food Manufacturing
  • Degree qualified or commensurate food industry experience
  • Min Level 3 HACCP
  • Food Safety Qualification
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal & written
  • Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
