Interim Payroll Officer
12 Month Fixed Term Contract (temp to perm)
28 days holiday, including bank holidays (pro rata)
Up to £24,000 per annum (pro-rata)

We're looking for an Interim Payroll Officer to join a premium food supplier and manufacturer (fresh, value added, ready to eat products) to join their team located in Greater London. We are looking to start off on a 12 month fixed term contract, with prospect of the role becoming permanent.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their in with nation-wide food manufacturer and start their career.

The purpose of the roll is to accurately process the weekly and monthly payroll and to ensure timely payments to employee’s plus all associated reporting and costing data. This includes time and attendance system monitoring and maintenance.

Daily Tasks:

  • Input starters and leavers on to payroll system
  • Input permanent changes to the payroll system i.e. salary changes, dept changes, tax coding’s etc
  • Interrogate time and attendance system daily
  • Calculate hours worked from time and attendance reports and Input to the payroll system
  • Calculate holiday pay and input to payroll system
  • Process all payment information to ensure timely payments to employees
  • Maintain electronic payslip system
  • Run Weekly payroll
  • Create and issue management reports/costings
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for reports and information both internal and external
  • Auto enrolment management
  • Responsible for RTI submissions
  • Dealing with general pay and tax queries

Essential experience, skills and knowledge required:

  • Good level of experience in running payroll (1 years+)
  • Experience of using time and attendance and electronic payroll systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to process high volumes of data accurately and within strict time constraints
  • Good Communication skills
  • High level of administration skills
  • High level of time management skills
