Technical Services Technologist

As part of their continued growth they are looking for a Technical Services Technologist and join their Team.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will have responsibility to ensure Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Brand Reputation are maintained at all times. To support the team you will ensure all customer technical information requirements are met, taking the lead on raw material control, specifications, legislative changes, packaging and artwork information. This will include managing technical relationships with suppliers, conducting audits, approvals and managing non-conformances.
You will be monitoring the effectiveness of corrective procedures, analysing information for strategic review and communicating with customers regularly.
You will be conducting internal site audits to BRC 8 standard and ensure that the company retain the highest level of accreditation. You will work closely with other internal teams, including NPD and procurement on new projects, keeping up with new technology, trends and emerging product risks.
We are looking for a confident, attentive and technically-minded professional with experience in food manufacturing. Experience to include supplier management, internal and external auditing, as well as specification ownership for the major retailers. You’ll need to be methodical and analytical in your approach but also have strong interpersonal skills which make you a natural at influencing key stakeholders at all levels.
