And here you are; the unsung hero of your business. Trawling through the endless job adverts, numbing your brain with the bullet pointed set of responsibilities.
You've been in the game for too long to be patronised with what's expected of you. And you know what you need to do to keep the food safe, quality high, and customers happy.
So, what's in it for you?
You'll be given full autonomy to run the site day to day how YOU want it. Imagine that, no micro-management. Giving you a genuine opportunity to leave your mark on the business.
You'll be responsible for leading all customer and other 3rd party visits/audits (and they have a busy calendar.) It's key that you can develop those relationships.
With huge investment going in to the site, and the Technical team growing, this is a vital time for them in the exciting plans that they have. This could also lead to further opportunities down the line.
You will also inherit a well-established team that are performing well and have developed a brilliant culture. Not to say that standards can't be raised, but you won't be starting from scratch.
What do they need?
It's vital that you've lead a HACCP team before, and that you have lead audits with retailers and/or BRC or other 3rd party legislations.
Having experience and knowledge in Hygiene would also put you in a strong position, but it's not vital.
