Finance Director

Our client is an iconic Consumer brand, with a history of more than 50 years old, yet still enjoys year on year growth of c10%. Growth that has been delivered in part by the product’s credentials as well as regular innovation and product extensions. They have a strong presence across all of the multiple retailers  as well as evolving relationships with the discounters, impulse and foodservice. Export is still a channel that is yet to be fully exploited.

With ambitions to double in size over the next 7 years they are recruiting a Finance Director that will help futureproof the business. Reporting into the MD you will be instrumental in bringing both functional best practice and stewardship as well as overall leadership as a key member of the Board of Directors.

This is an agile, forward thinking and pacey environment. It requires therefore,  a leader that has collaboration and continual improvement at the heart of all they do. You will need a flexible and adaptable style, a strategic thinker as well as being close to the Operations/Manufacturing of the business. In addition to having a proven track record of manufacturing within Consumer Products, experience of working with clients within Retail would be a distinct advantage.  

To be successful you will be an existing functional Director or equivalent, bring diversity in thought and encourage challenging the status quo.

The Finance Director will manage a high performing team of varying stages of ‘qualification’ with responsibility for developing their capabilities as future leaders.

Qualified accountant, preferably CIMA.
