You will be working for an extremely successful and well-established manufacturer. They supply ambient products to the food manufacturing industry from several strategically placed, state of the art manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the UK. With comprehensive technical, sourcing and buying knowledge, the business can cater specifically to their customers’ needs.

The job

As a key part if the technical team, the purpose of your role is to prepare and issue customer specifications as required, to the company’s broad customer base.

You will review and sign-off all raw ingredient specifications, complete provisional specifications for presentation of new products to customers, complete full finished product specifications either web based or in customer own format, answer specification related queries from customers and within the technical team, complete final label sign-offs for new products and actively participate in technical meetings/reviews.

Your experience

The Graduate Specifications Technologist’s job would suit a food science, technology or nutrition graduate looking for their first step within the food manufacturing industry. Previous technical/QA experience either within a university placement or full-time role would be beneficial, however, to succeed you will have a clear drive and passion for food safety and joining a business where you can grow your career.
