Procurement Assistant | Fresh Produce

This business is one of the leading fresh produce businesses in the UK looking to add an enthusiastic Procurement Assistant to its newly structured Procurement/Sourcing department. This business is responsible for some of the UK's favourite produce whilst also maintaining the family business work ethic and team work.

The Job:
Working closely with the Procurement team you will receive a lot of guidance and a great insight into the procurement sector. You will be managing purchase orders and amending where necessary along with administration of all aspects of the claim process and reviewing claims for the benefit of the business and its suppliers. You will also be working closely with the QA to make sure the weekly quality update is available and the Finance team to help with reconciling invoices.

This is a perfect role for a recent graduate looking to get into procurement and understand the basics alongside a thriving team and part of a family business. You will gain a great basic background in procurement in one of the fastest moving sectors.

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Ideally experience in a similar role but not essential. Preferably in fresh produce or food.
A qualification or similar experience in fresh produce or fast-moving products.
Good working knowledge and experience of SAP will be highly desirable.
