Account Manager | Agribusiness
We are working with a very unique business based in the East of England providing a critical service to local arable farmers across quite a broad area. Due to expansion, this business is looking to take on a junior account manager to join the team and learn from the more experienced account managers. This business has a brilliant reputation and would be a great opportunity for either an agricultural graduate or someone looking to make their next move in the industry.
This role will initially be a split between account management and learning the ropes of good account management whilst introducing an element of sales and building your own local group of contacts. There are busy periods with this role as there are in all parts of agriculture, where you will spend most of your time managing your clients and ensuring the service they are receiving is excellent and they are satisfied. During the less busy periods there will be the opportunity to begin conversations and go out and meet new/potential clients to establish and strengthen relationships and increase your client base year on year.
This role will also enable you to go out and meet with existing clients where possible along with attending shows and other agricultural events in the local area to promote the business and further your client base.
The successful candidate will have the following skill set:
A degree or equivalent level qualification, preferably in agriculture, agribusiness or similar sector.
Ideally hands on experience working in agriculture or similar sectors which will enable you to demonstrate credibility with clients. Ideally 2 years.
Great written, verbal and Microsoft Office skills will be crucial to building and developing relationships with this role.
