Salary £35,000-£45,000 DOE

Our client is a leader in fresh supply to retail and as a result of recent growth an exciting opportunity has arisen as they look to appoint a Technical Manager to join their technical team and help maintain the high level of technical and quality standards their business has set.

This role is going to be an exciting challenge as the business has some strong customer relationships, is a professional operation and has strong worldwide supply routes and growers.
Responsible for the technical, quality and ethical compliance within the supply chain ensuring the required level of compliance is visible at all times. You will also support technical information flow to the customer for all aspects of technical and quality and legal advice across a variety of fruit and veg categories supplied from the company to the customer, alongside technical requirements.
With a global set of growers you will be required to audit and support them throughout the year and in particular key parts of the season's.

As a result they are being quite specific in whom they are looking for, first class technical management skills are a must, and they want energy, enthusiasm and someone who can deal not only with technical issues, but be commercially and entrepreneurially minded. You will have strong audit skills and external audit qualifications. There will be a some travel requirement to Africa and South America, more than likely a week every couple of months.
