You will be responsible for transforming the existing Engineering function into a high performing, proactive team delivering world class maintenance, efficiency and reliability standards. This will be achieved through outstanding leadership coupled with Engineering excellence.

My client is an FMCG manufacturer going through an exciting period of investment and positive transformation.

Description

As the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

  • Demonstrating, promoting and ensuring that only the highest possible HSE standards are being adhered to.
  • Leading, supporting and motivating a team of Engineers in order to deliver high levels of employee engagement & development, production output and machine availability.
  • Developing best engineering practice ensuring it is embedded and sustained.
  • Creating a culture of planned maintenance and ensuring PM systems are in place to sustain this change of working practice and behaviours.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver cost down activities whilst maintaining product integrity through Lean methodologies and processes.
  • As an integral member of the business leadership team, you will support the wider business with strategic input and collaboration to exceed the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.


Profile

As the Engineering Manager, you will have a proven track record of Engineering leadership within a high volume manufacturing operation.
  • You will be a champion of HSE best practice
  • Whilst providing excellent leadership, you will lead from the front with first class engineering skills (mechanical and electrical) and knowledge.
  • You will have a proven track record of implementing lean process improvements including the use of visual management, 5S, VSM, SMED and TPM
  • You will be able to demonstrate where you have developed your team members including the creation of a succession plan as well as personal development plans.






Job Offer

c£60,000 DOE plus benefits
