GMTV hired a flamboyant fitness instructor to get the nation jumping out of bed each day. He was as famous for his outlandish outfits and gregarious personality as he was for his aerobic sessions. When you don't really know your audience or their personal motivations you need a hook, right?

This opportunity is different (thank goodness!)- because here, you'll be motivating a team of professionals, trained to do their jobs to perfection in a large production kitchen that produces millions of ethnic ready meals each week.

Even though Chefs have been known to sport funkadelic trousers on occasion - the leadership and motivation you instil for a successful production shift stem from knowing you start with the finish in mind.

Your team of production Chefs work to clinical standards, with an eye on the finished product throughout the whole process. Just as in hospitality, once service is done, there's a collective sigh of relief and an acknowledgement everyone delivered what they had to, when they had to.

This new position is going to give you the same group high-fives as you manage the production process which sees hundreds of staff creating ready meals for millions of customers, nationwide in the UK's leading supermarkets.

As an experienced Executive Chef, you'll be used to leading and motivating your brigades. They could have been spread across a variety of service styles (from Banqueting to Brasserie, A La Carte and back to Room Service). You may well have been responsible for multiple-sites. This man-management and multi-tasking capability will be utilised to its fullest here.

Central production operations are key to ensuring the right products are delivered to a demanding, expectant and ever-hungry customer base (excuse the pun). It all begins with the quality and process that enable the kitchen and its factory run at its optimum, as smoothly as can be.
