This well-established family owned and run business supplies a range of bespoke products to other manufacturers. They import and process hundreds of quality ingredients according to individual customer’s requirements and supply to customers both in the UK and throughout the world.
As Quality Manager, you will be proactive in the development, implementation and control of all aspects of the company’s quality and technical matters. Reporting to the Board you will conduct and oversee reviews, audits and investigations whilst managing continuous improvements to the system. You will act as the HACCP team leader and review company manuals relating to food safety, quality, TACCP, VACCP and technical risk assessment. In addition, you will host client and 3rd party accreditation audits (BRC, ISO9001, Soil Association, Valid IT, Sedex & Kosher) and manage your team of three, coaching and training them to meet the needs of the department.
To be considered for the Quality Manager’s job, you will have solid experience working in a quality/technical management role within food manufacturing. Ideally you’ll be educated to degree level in a food science/technology discipline and you must have both HACCP and Internal Auditor qualifications. Experience of Kosher, Soil Association and Organic certified products would be advantageous.
The Quality Manager’s job is based in the East Anglia / Home Counties region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.
