Our client sells a market leading, sophisticated sugar free and no-added sugar confectionery range, looking for a sales executive to support business growth. They distribute an extensive product range including cakes, sweets, chocolate spreads and cookies
New business development will make up around 80% of the role as well the development and maintenance of business relationships with existing customers
Identification, pursuit and realisation of opportunities as they occur and development of these into new business
Keeping updated with product knowledge
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on competitor’s activities in order to maximise sales opportunities
Completing reports as required
Working closely as part of a larger internal team whilst delivering results and hitting sales targets through your actions.
Explore and grow the client account list, dealing with incoming leads and ending sales
Proven knowledge of sales in the food industry
Experience of selling into either the travel sector or the health sector would be very advantageous
A foodie, preferably with a healthy food interest or background
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
High levels of proactivity is essential as this role will be 80% new business development
Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
A strong work ethic and the desire to succeed
Although this role is generally office based, flexibility will be required to travel to clients, possibly around once a week
