As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, quality of service, delivery, driver and vehicle management.
You will manage the team and organise staff rotas, ensure customer satisfaction and good client relationships, ensure all vehicles are kept within laws and safe to drive, control departmental costs (repairs, wages, fuel, insurance), manage delivery routes so they are profitable, ensure all staff are trained to highest levels, consistently seek ways to improve the logistics function and build on the already excellent customer service levels.
You will possess a solid track record within a logistics, transport, fleet management or similar role ideally within a chilled, FMCG business. You will be a KPI driven, experienced people manager, have excellent relationship building skills plus be IT literate including Microsoft Excel and Word (and preferably routing software). A full UK driving licence is essential and 7.5 ton/CPC licence is desirable.
The Logistics Manager job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £36,000 - £38,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The core working hours will be days, 7am – 3.30pm, however flexibility may be required during peak times.
