Making the jump from QA Manager to Technical Manager can prove tricky sometimes.

There can be a whole host of reasons for this and it's rarely a lack of desire.

What can make it easier is having more experience around customer or supplier management.

Having more exposure to "technical" and adding to that hands-on QA side you already know inside out.

You'll be managing an intake QA team in this job, sure. But you'll also take on a small team of technologists, together with whom you'll manage the supplier approval process and risk assessment of raw materials.

Along with that comes the opportunity to get out and about for supplier audits / visits, supporting them around quality issues as needed.

So not a TM job, but certainly a step in the right direction.

The variety of raw materials coming in to this business is vast. You'll definitely be busy and it won't be without its challenges but you'll have a solid technical team around you supporting. Not that you're after an easy ride…

Of course if you already have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to raw materials management then this company is likely to be interested in having a chat with you too.

You might not be actively looking right now but if you want to find out more about this job and decide if it's something worth pursuing, please apply or call me (Joe) on 01733 391 515.
