Client Details

I've partnered up with one of the UK's leading food manufacturing businesses as we look to recruit a brand new Demand Planner role. With sites up and down the UK, covering an array of products, they supply into some of the biggest and most reputable supermarkets.

Our client is easily commutable from: Sheffield, Rotherham, Worksop, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Mansfield and surrounding areas

Description
  • The Demand Planner sits between the Commercial and Supply Chain teams and will support both functions. If you're successful, you'll be implementing the agreed Demand strategy to achieve budgeted business performance, but you'll also need to deliver presentations to customers and maintain an on-going dialogue with them.
  • You will build and maintain accurate forecasts, collaborating with customers, Commercial and Supply Chain colleagues, which supports effective sales and Operational performance (IBP). In addition, you will need to overlay business intelligence onto the forecasts to provide insight and analysis into trends.
  • You will need to maintain and develop the forecasting related systems and processes, which in turn drives continuous excellence.

  • Profile

The successful candidate for the Demand Planner role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:
    • Previous experience within the food would be ideal but not essential

    • Experience gained within a supply chain, distribution/logistics or retail function

    • Good analytic experience and excel skills

    • Strong commercial skills supported by a pragmatic approach

    • Good problem solving skills and an attitude of continual improvement

    • Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills

    • Demonstrable planning and organisation skills
