Senior Product Developer

The Company

The Role

Reporting the to the NPD Manager you’ll be assisting with managing of the NPD department, ensuring the team keep to BRC standards when documenting all products that are produced and sourced for the company. You will need to prioritize your activity and your team to be able to achieve key objectives and meet deadlines. You’ll take responsibility for managing new projects through all the stages of the innovations process from concept to launch, keeping up with new food trends, competitor analysis and benchmarking as well as ensuring all products are delivered in line with agreed timescales as well as the critical path. You will work closely with commercial teams, suppliers and customers to ensure all new ranges are bang on trend and commercially viable by reviewing market data to see what’s hot and what’s not in the world of food. You’ll present your findings to major retail and wholesale customers, highlighting areas for potential growth whilst developing strong partnerships for success in the market place.

In addition you will liaise with technical and buying teams as well as suppliers, guaranteeing only the best ingredients are used in alignment with brand values, customer specifications and quality standards. You’ll also be accountable for managing specifications and artwork approval, working with design agencies to come up with packaging solutions that will make an impact with customers and consumers.

The Person

We are looking for a capable and assured individual who has experience within a food manufacturing environment. You may be a technologist looking to progress as an assistant manager or have years of factory and trial knowledge under your belt.
