The company

A position has arisen for a Site Engineer working for a family owned business which grows high quality, award-winning produce which is supplied to the major UK multiples and food manufacturers.

The job

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all production machinery, ensuring faults are diagnosed and repaired in a safe and timely manner plus work closely with the Engineering Manager to minimise downtime.

You will implement preventative maintenance measures and carry out regular servicing, troubleshoot and provide advice to machine operators, repair and update machines taking production requirements into consideration, train production staff on new and existing equipment as required plus ensure that all MHE is maintained in line with service requirements specified by the manufacturer and is repaired as required allowing for operational requirements.

Your experience

To be considered for the Site Engineer role, you will have previous engineering experience within a manufacturing/production environment and hold City & Guilds or equivalent in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. A background of working with flow wrappers and heat sealers is essential and any food manufacturing experience is highly desirable. A driving licence is also required due to site location.

The Site Engineer job is based in the South East region and is paying £25,000 - £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working days are 5 out of 7, however flexibility will be required.
