NPD Manager (12 Month Contract)

The Company

An exciting opportunity for an experienced NPD Manager to join a well-established company that specialise in creating and developing chilled foods for well-respected UK grocery retailers. This business’s mission is to strive for amazing quality products which will delight consumers and create an earnest and trustworthy relationship with their customers.

The Role

Supporting the Head of NPD you will manage the day-to-day running of the NPD team; working closely to deliver focused development that makes an impact in your competitive categories and with your customers.

You will work alongside the development chefs to create concepts that do justice to the customer NPD briefs, demonstrating your knowledge and expertise of food trends as well as consumer insights. You will manage the key stages of development from concept all the way through to launch, working in conjunction with the site process manager to oversee the successful handover of products from kitchen to factory.  Developing relationships and working closely with customers is also an essential part of the role.

The Person

We are looking for a self-diagnosed foodie who is customer focused, confident and passionate with the ability to inspire a team.  A proven track record of NPD achievements within a variety of categories with successful product launches for the major multiples is essential. Savvy commercial and project management skills with the professional gravitas to influence across all functions is needed too.

Would suit an NPD Manager or Senior Developer looking for a challenge in a creative and fast paced role on a contract basis.  A degree in Food Science or a related subject would be great but not essential.
