Senior Lab Manager
Up to £60k depending on experience + benefits
A global operation and multi-sited team, this role will support research and development projects to drive growth in markets internationally. You will be working with world class ingredients that appear in food and drinks all over the planet.
A laboratory manager experienced in food technology, you will oversee this function and provide technical application advice to the sales teams and customers. This will help the innovation team drive growth in various areas of the food and beverage industry.
You will oversee development of new products from idea to commercialisation and interpret data in order to provide technical direction in projects. R+D performance must be measured against business objectives and you will need to maintain knowledge of technology and competitor activity. Resolving customer queries is key and producing project reports for customers and internal technical staff. You will independently perform tests and analyses using a variety of methods and techniques, using your problem solving skills. There will also be some general overall maintenance of the lab and you will take ownership of this whole function.
• Strong industrial experience in product innovation in the food industry is required
• A master’s degree or a doctorate in Food Science, Enzymology, Bio Chemistry or a related subject is required;
• Significant experience in the European food industry ideally with people management experience
• You must be open to occasional travel, mainly within Europe, Asia and the United States
