Enjoying extensive liaison with suppliers, internal and external customers, responsible for the effective due diligence and management of a specific range of own brand protein products and quality management systems. This is a broad based role, encompassing supplier management, quality and safety risk assessments, product development and launches, value adding improvements to both products and process controls. With an increasing emphasis on the development of robust quality systems, you'll also ensure auditing/inspection procedures are implemented, maintained and improved.
With proven experience in a similar role, including exposure to the protein sectors, with particular knowledge of animal and seafood welfare, responsible sourcing and abattoir operations, you should be a degree qualified technologist, who's capable of adding real and measurable value to existing processes. Practical 3rd party auditing and a track record in managing supplier performance are also essential, in order to ensure continued implementation of the highest quality standards in foodservice. Must be willing to travel within the UK, Europe and occasionally to the Far East.
