Ensures that finished products manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets safety, quality and environmental specifications.
Ensures that finished product is ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion
Client Details
The client is a family owned FMCG manufacturer based in the York area.
Description
Support and promote the correct safety behaviours to deliver conditions for a safe working environment.
Manage cross contamination matrix and production scheduling parameters
Work with Raw Material Planner to align material requirements with manufacturing capabilities, capacity and suppliers.
Coordinate production effectively via daily operational reviews.
Champions the use of basic problem-solving tools and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement and suggests ways to improve performance.
Provide daily/weekly/monthly analysis and metrics for production attainment, on time delivery, order fill, capacity and planning, production constraints and work-arounds.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Creation of comprehensive production schedule.
Assist with weekly, monthly and seasonal production forecasting
Profile
SAP experience
Previous experience of production planning
Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
Educated to A Level or equivalent
Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent time management, results orientated and organised
Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills, seeing all tasks through to completion
Excellent attention to detail and sound mathematical abilities
Assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change
Ability to work under pressure
Process improvement experience or knowledge of lean manufacturing
SQL Database / Crystal Reporting experience
Previous SAP knowledge
