My client has an urgent need for a proven Production Planner to join the business on a five-month fixed term contract.

My client is a large successful chilled food manufacturing background.

They are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join the business immediately, the contract will finish at the end of February 2020.

The working hours are Tuesday - Saturday 08.00 - 17.00 with flexibility required.

This is a large site with over 1,000 employees, and a large product portfolio. You must enjoy working in a busy fast-paced environment, working with numbers and using IT software.

You will be responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the factory from receiving a variety of customer orders to dispatching 1000's of finished goods on a daily basis which you will see on the retailer supermarket shelves.

You will use bespoke IT software to manage the daily work order and a 31-day rolling forecast (Launches/Promotions/De-Lists). You will drive the production plan ensuring customer service levels are maintained and KPI's are delivered.

Reviewing current practices and continuously looking at alternative ways to improve will also be a key part of your remit, as well as working closely with counterparts outside of the Planning function to deliver improvement projects when required.

  • Understanding of the planning process in food manufacturing, ideally chilled
