Job Details
Our client is a leading player in the food production industry and they are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team.
You will be responsible for a small team of shift maintenance engineers and be tasked with managing the department's planned preventative maintenance schedule, effectively organising and coordinating the engineering department. The position is responsible for ensuring that all plant and equipment adhere to the relevant legislation and a safe working environment is maintained. You will assume take responsibility for ensuring that permit to work is in place regarding contractors.
You will also be involved in supporting training, Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis.
The following knowledge and skills are required for this role;
* A time served accredited apprenticeship or Engineering HNC/NVQ Level 3 coupled with industry experience
* A knowledge of manufacturing machinery and processes
* Proven supervisory experience
* Cost and budgeting skills & GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
18th Edition wiring regulations and working knowledge of PLC's are highly desirable.
