International Demand and Supply Manager

Our client have been creating Britain’s best loved brands for many years and are now looking to add an International Demand & Supply Manager into their team. A manufacturer and distributor of own label and branded foods for over a 100 years’ you will be joining one of the country’s best loved businesses.

Job Role

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in Supply and Demand team, leading the process for the International BU and ensure a robust forecast is created including the correct and appropriate inventory levels are present throughout the supply chain. This is a role to help improve the forecast accuracy by driving the S&OP and customer collaboration processes, along with supporting the OTIF and push shelf availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Supply and Demand analysts to maintain the forecasts using SAP, ensuring all daily, weekly and monthly adjusts are updated accordingly
• Improve forecast accuracy and stock management by driving the S&OP process
• Help build and maintain the customer collaboration process by creating strong relationships within Supply Chain and carrying out monthly planning meetings
• Understand the forecast bias and errors by creating plans to step change utilising both statistical methods and root cause analysis
• Provide a clear planning approach within Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial, challenging account managers on forecast assumptions
• Create collaborative working relationships with Commercial and Finance teams to develop the forecast assumptions for NPD, EPD and market launches
• Coordinate forecasting for both seasonal and NPDs, ensuring accountability for customer and market implementation
• Enhance the management reports on forecast changes, forecast accuracy, inventory levels and stock health
• Support Senior Management with rolling out continuous improvement culture throughout the team
• Be the face of the International function in group wide S&OP and project meetings as required
• Reduce forecast bias by post launch and review sales run rates
• Communicate with the production sites to understand potential service risks, creating mitigation plans and manage the demand where necessary

Personal Profile

• Solid experience of using statistical forecast systems
• Previous experience of working within FMCG and Food Manufacturing
• IBP and S&OP experience is essential
• Ability to create and present data analysis
• Strong line management experience
• Excellent Demand Planning knowledge along with customer supply chain and analyst experience
• Systems experience of SAP/APO, Business Objects, Microsoft and TPM are required
• It is essential to have use of EPOS and customer online tools
• Ability to understand trends and patterns within numbers is essential
• Knowledge of production planning, supply planning and scheduling would be highly advantageous
