£Attractive Salary Package (with incremental rises)

An instantly recognisable iconic retailer with a rich history and a fabulous heritage, our client is a multi-billion Euro turnover global business. Their values embrace the objective of serving their customers with quality products at affordable prices - they offer choice, variety and value. With scheduled salary incremental rises and a true opportunity to develop your career, this is an exciting opportunity that has arisen in their corporate UK & Ireland Head Office. You will engage all business stakeholders to shape future business activities to develop both a technical stance and policy, implementing the practical roll-out of procedures, systems and methods of operation.

Reporting directly to a Quality Director and with a quality team in support, you will have the autonomy, flexibility and decision making authority to truly contribute towards the development and maintenance of the comprehensive strategic technical agenda across the business. With a requirement to champion all aspects of quality, policy, safety and legality within your area, you will work closely with internal Head Office category stakeholders as well as building positive, lasting, and progressive relationships with external supplier partners. Whilst chairing due diligence and performance review meetings with technical stakeholders, you will also attend industry forums and liaise with Government agencies. Enjoying communication with a range of cross functional colleagues whilst working with a range of manufacturing supply partners to maximise supply chain quality operations.

With a degree or equivalent, in a relevant discipline, you will have substantial technical / quality management experience, ideally gained in a retail, manufacturing or food service environment. Our client is open minded with regards to product area and background - food or non-food products - the broader the better. Just as important, however, will be your excellent project management skills, and you will need to bring strong commercial awareness and a genuine passion for food. Finally, a knowledge of HACCP, BRC and associated technical systems and accreditations is key. This role at our client offers a real career path in a genuine and progressive blue chip business.
