Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Multi Skilled Engineers, (Days and Shifts), Pontypool, South Wales, FMCG Food Manufacturing

An established food manufacturer with a site in South Wales is looking to strengthen its engineering department with the addition of Shift and PM Engineers.

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, they are looking for experienced engineers to conduct both planned and reactive maintenance on site as well as contributing toward continuous improvement activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing food business and play a critical role within the engineering function, while ensuring alignment and contribution to Company objectives and KPI's.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and carry out prioritised work as agreed.
• You will be expected to carry out reactive maintenance tasks with the aim of ensuring the production is running smoothly with minimal down-time.
• Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued are completed.
• Work closely with CI and operational teams to drive and deliver efficiency targets
• Compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).
• Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.
• Provide the engineering supervisors with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issue, work orders completed, PM's completed and other details as required.
• Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.

Hours of Work: You will either work on a rotating shift pattern, or a Monday - Friday shift (please express preference in your application). As a business they are keen to develop their teams through further training.

Salary: £30,900 - £32,960 + Benefits
